Israeli Knesset Approves West Bank Annexation Bills

Jerusalem: The Israeli occupation’s Knesset on Wednesday passed, in a preliminary reading, a bill to annex the West Bank submitted by right-wing Member of the Knesset (MK) Avi Maor.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Knesset also approved a bill to impose “Israeli sovereignty” on the Ma’ale Adumim settlement east of Jerusalem, introduced by Yisrael Beiteinu party Leader Avigdor Lieberman. The annexation bill passed with 25-24 votes; the Ma’ale Adumim bill passed 32-9 with ballots.

The voting coincided with US Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Israel, despite earlier warnings from US President Donald Trump against any West Bank annexation steps.
