Beirut: The Ministry of Health in Lebanon announced on Sunday that an Israeli occupation drone strike resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 21 others in the southern suburb of Beirut. The strike, which targeted a building in Haret Hreik, also caused damage to nearby properties and structures. The Lebanese army quickly responded by cordoning off the affected area.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the numbers of casualties reported by the ministry are preliminary, indicating that further updates might be expected. In addition to the damage in Beirut, an earlier Israeli occupation attack occurred in the town of Ayta ash Shab in the Bint Jbeil region, which also resulted in a fatality.
Despite the cessation of hostilities agreement signed in November 2024, Israeli occupation forces have continued to launch attacks on Lebanon, focusing on towns and vehicles, adding to the ongoing conflict's complexity and instability in the region.
