Israeli Assault on Gaza Claims 61 More Palestinian Lives

Gaza: The health authorities in Gaza Strip reported on Monday that 61 Palestinians were killed and 220 injured in the past 24 hours as Israeli occupation attacks on civilians continue across the Strip.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the overall toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 65,344 martyrs and 166,795 injuries. The authorities noted that hospitals recorded no new deaths linked to aid distribution in recent hours, though 23 new injuries were reported.

The statement highlighted that the total number of victims from 'breadline' incidents has risen to 2,523 dead and more than 18,496 injuries. The continuous strikes have resulted in Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital and Al-Oyoun Hospital going out of service, and a medical relief center in Gaza City being destroyed. Health officials have accused Israel of systematically targeting Gaza's health system, describing it as part of a policy of genocide against the population.

Humanitarian organizations and international bodies have called for urgent intervention by the global community to stop the assault, protect civilians, and ensure the entry of medical and humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to occupy Gaza City, with tanks advancing from multiple directions, raising fears of further civilian casualties.
