Beirut: At least two persons have been killed in a drone attack launched by Israeli occupation forces on a town in southern Lebanon, Lebanese Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported on Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the center earlier announced that two people were killed and two others were wounded in two separate airstrikes by Israel on various parts of southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.
The Israeli occupation forces have been conducting daily airstrikes in the region, which violate the ceasefire agreement signed on November 27. These actions also breach UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for a cessation of hostilities in the area. Israeli forces have also occupied certain parts and checkpoints in the region, further escalating tensions.
