BEIRUT: At least 12 more people were killed and 11 others injured in a new wave of Israeli occupation airstrikes in several parts of Lebanon on Thursday. The attacks targeted Maqneh town in Baalbek province, resulting in six deaths and six injuries, and Irzay town, near Sidon in the South Governorate, where five people were killed. According to Kuwait News Agency, in West Beqaa, eight people had been killed in earlier airstrikes. In a related development, Dr. Nasser Yassin, the coordinator of the government emergency committee and minister of health, stated that the death toll from the Israeli attacks has risen to 2,867, with an additional 13,047 injuries reported since October 8, 2023.
