Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon Result in Five Fatalities and Multiple Injuries.


BEIRUT: Five people were killed and nine others injured following airstrikes in South Lebanon conducted by Israeli occupying forces, as reported by the Lebanese Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC).

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Israeli forces targeted a building in the Saida neighborhood, initially causing the death of three individuals and injuring nine others. The attacks were part of a series of airstrikes on the region, escalating tensions and leading to significant human and material losses.

Further reports from the National News Agency (NNA) revealed that additional airstrikes hit the town of Jabal Al-Botm, resulting in two more fatalities and considerable property damage. The assault has amplified the already dire situation in the area, with local authorities grappling to manage the aftermath.

The Lebanese Red Cross has been actively involved in the recovery efforts, announcing the transfer of five bodies from Wata Al-Khiam earlier in the day. They have committed to continuing t
heir mission to recover the remaining bodies, as 15 Lebanese individuals are still believed to be trapped under the rubble.

Since September 23, Lebanon has been enduring aggressive air raids by occupying forces. These attacks have not only led to significant casualties but have also displaced thousands of people, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
