Islamic Organization Praises Integration of Kuwait’s Security and Scientific Institutions

Kuwait City: The Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) has emphasized the exemplary integration of Kuwait's security and scientific institutions, describing it as a commendable model for others to follow.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this integration reflects a national level awareness of the importance of supporting scientific activities with legal and moral frameworks, especially amidst the advancements in genetic and artificial intelligence fields. Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarallah, the chairperson of IOMS, made these remarks after a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Jarallah presented a memorial shield to the minister in appreciation of the significant support provided for the recent international conference titled "Genetic Imprinting and Gene Editing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: An Islamic Perspective."

Dr. Al-Jarallah expressed gratitude for the Ministry of Interior's vital role in ensuring the success of the IOMS-organized conference. Cadets and officers from the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy participated actively in the event, contributing to in-depth discussions.

Senior officers from various departments of the Ministry of Interior were also involved in valuable debates and presentations during the conference. The discussions covered over 50 scientific topics, focusing on the potential applications of artificial intelligence in DNA technology.

The conference attracted several scholars from renowned universities, including Al-Azhar, highlighting the global interest and collaboration in these emerging scientific areas.
