Kirkuk: Iraq's Joint Special Operations Command announced that its forces successfully arrested "a dangerous terrorist" in the northern governorate of Kirkuk. Based on accurate intelligence, the Special Forces, with support from military advisors of the international coalition, executed a successful aerial landing near the borders of Kirkuk with the central governorate of Salah Al-Din, capturing Suleiman Khodair Suleiman Dawood.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the operation led to the seizure of several weapons and communication devices found with the wanted individual. The captured militant was previously associated with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda before joining the so-called Islamic State. The statement from the Command's security media cell indicated that he has been referred for interrogation as a step towards prosecution.
