According to Kuwait News Agency, Hussein's remarks were made during a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. During their discussion, the ministers reviewed the current developments in Syria, Yemen, Iran, and Venezuela. They particularly focused on the ongoing events in Aleppo, Syria, highlighting the necessity to stop the hostilities and encourage negotiations between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
