Baghdad: Iraqi F-16 jet fighters launched two successful raids targeting Daesh strongholds north of Rawha in Al-Anbar Governorate, as confirmed by the Iraqi Joint Operations Command (JOC) in a recent statement.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the airstrikes resulted in the elimination of several Daesh members and the destruction of arms, gear, and logistical supplies. The JOC highlighted the effectiveness of the coordination among Iraqi security forces, which include the Army, Air Force, Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS), and Police, in tracking and targeting elements of the Islamic State group.
The raids underscore the ongoing efforts of Iraq's central military body to combat terrorism and dismantle the infrastructure of the notorious group, known as Daesh.
