Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani met on Sunday with the Vice President of the American energy company Chevron to explore cooperation opportunities in the oil and energy sectors.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions focused on Chevron's operations in Iraq and the potential for partnerships to enhance investment and create an attractive investment environment. They exchanged views on overcoming obstacles and adjusting contracts to align with the Iraqi government's development goals, which aim to maximize oil production revenues and expand refining capacity.
The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continued discussions between the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and Chevron. The goal is to identify the best investment opportunities for Iraq's national oil sector and ensure the optimal utilization of the country's oil resources, as stated in the press release by the Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office.
