Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani held talks on Tuesday with the visiting Lebanese Minister of Labor Mohammad Haidar on mutual cooperation in the economic and investment spheres.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions between Al-Sudani and Haidar focused on regional issues, economic and communication sector cooperation, activating the joint business council, and regulating labor movement between the two countries.
Al-Sudani expressed his support for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. In response, Haidar reiterated Beirut's desire to expand economic cooperation with Baghdad. The collaboration between the two nations includes Iraq supplying fuel to Lebanon for its power generators, while Lebanon offers medical treatment to Iraqi citizens at preferential prices.
