Iranian President: The Brutal Killing Must Be Stopped And Humanitarian Aid Must Be Delivered To Gaza

Baghdad, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that: “The brutal killing must be stopped and humanitarian aid must be delivered to Gaza.”

This came in a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, who arrived in the capital, Tehran, this morning.

Raisi added: “There are common positions between Iraq and Iran regarding the Palestinian issue, and there must be a ceasefire in Gaza and the crimes of the Zionist entity must stop.”

For his part, al-Sudani said: Our visit to Tehran emphasizes the relationship and the extent of the commonalities between the two countries.

Al-Sudani added, "Iraq's position on the Palestinian issue is clear and was expressed by the supreme authority and the political and national forces."

He added: “The Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide, and for decades the residents of Gaza have been in a large prison.”

Al-Sudani stressed in the joint press conference with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi that: The international community and the international system have failed to fulfill their duties.

Al-Sudani stressed: “Containing the conflict and preventing its spread depends on stopping the aggression of the Zionist entity.”

Al-Sudani said: “The international community and the international system have failed to fulfill their duties in light of what Gaza is being exposed to.”

He added: "Iraq is playing a role and has communicated with the countries of the region for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Al-Sudani added: “The visit to Tehran confirms the depth of the relationship between the two countries and the extent of the Commonalities between Iraq and Iran.”

He said: “The visit to Tehran is important in this sensitive circumstance that the region is witnessing. We held a meeting with the Iranian president, and the Palestinian issue was the most prominent.”
