Tehran: The Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development announced that Iran's airspace will remain closed until 2:00 am on Saturday, local time (10:30 pm GMT, Friday), to ensure the safety of passengers.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was filed with aviation authorities to inform pilots about the airspace closure due to security hazards. Majid Akhavan, the Ministry's spokesman, informed Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency about the decision. He noted that the aviation restrictions would continue until the situation in the country returns to normal.
