Iran Calls for OIC Summit to End Israeli Occupation’s Gaza Genocide

Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called for the holding of a summit for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to halt the Israeli occupation's crimes and genocide against the Gaza Strip, said a media source, Tuesday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), this call came during a phone conversation between Araghchi and Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Monday. The Foreign Minister insisted that a serious and immediate action by OIC was needed to end the bloody campaign carried out by the Israeli aggressors.

Araghchi strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's actions in the Gaza Strip, saying it was necessary to end the genocide and allow the entry of food and water to the war-torn region. For his part, Fidan expressed similar condemnation against Israeli occupation crimes, stressing the importance of OIC members' firm stance on heinous Israeli crimes.
