Iran and US Set to Continue Nuclear Program Talks Next Week

Muscat: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Saturday that Tehran and Washington have agreed to further talks next week concerning Iran's nuclear program. This development follows recent discussions held in Oman.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Araghchi conveyed that the initial talks aimed to establish a framework for negotiations. He emphasized that forming a concrete framework in the subsequent round would significantly advance the dialogue, enabling both sides to engage in substantive discussions.

Araghchi also mentioned that the parties have consented to a follow-up meeting at the same diplomatic level to deliberate on the general frameworks of a potential agreement, underlining the necessity for productive negotiations. The minister described the initial meeting with UN envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, in Muscat as "constructive."

He highlighted the calm atmosphere of the meeting and the commitment of both sides to pursue discussions aimed at achieving a fair and equitable agreement.
