Gulf of oman: The Naval Forces of Iran and Russia have conducted a joint drill in the Gulf of Oman and the Northern Indian Ocean, executing a series of operations successfully.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Iranian media reported that special operations teams from the navies of Iran's army and Russia performed an operation to liberate a hijacked ship. The exercise involved vessels and aerial units from both nations, incorporating aerial reconnaissance efforts.
The drill featured Iran's Alvand Destroyer, missile-launching warships, helicopters, landing craft, Special Operations Teams, and combat speedboats among other military assets. Various scenarios were enacted to improve tactical coordination, enhance joint command and control capabilities, and practice rapid response under operational conditions.
This joint naval exercise aims to bolster maritime security, expand cooperation between the Iranian and Russian navies, and enhance coordination in joint operations.
