Istanbul: Delegations from Iran and the European group of three-Britain, France, and Germany-concluded a second round of nuclear talks at Iran's Consulate General in Istanbul on Friday. The closed-door discussions lasted over three hours, with Iran represented by deputy foreign ministers Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Kazem Gharibabadi.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the two sides agreed to resume negotiations at the request of the European signatories of the 2015 deal. This decision comes in parallel with ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.
The first round of Iran-E3 talks took place in Istanbul on May 16. The nuclear talks between Iran and the United States had reached a standstill following a surprise attack on Iran by Israeli occupation forces on June 13.
