Riyadh: The Saudi-Austrian Investment Roundtable Meeting was held today in Riyadh, chaired by Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Austrian Minister of European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger. The meeting saw the participation of more than 22 Saudi officials from both government and private sectors. An Austrian delegation also attended, comprising 13 companies from leading firms specializing in seven sectors, including real estate, construction, healthcare, renewable and green energy technologies, and Internet of Things solutions for environmental monitoring.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting, organized by the Ministry of Investment in Riyadh, aimed to develop economic coordination between Riyadh and Vienna. It focused on building sustainable investment bridges and reviewing key developments in the Saudi investment landscape, aligned with the growing and diversifying investment opportunities presented by the Kingdom's evolving business environment. Bilateral sessions were conducted to activate and discuss strategic partnerships in sectors of mutual interest between prominent Austrian companies and leading Saudi entities from both the public and private sectors.
Economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Austria have seen continuous growth over the past six decades. The total bilateral trade volume reached SAR5.3 billion in 2024, spanning many vital economic sectors.
