The Ministry of Interior has set up “a hot line” (97272672) to report about any illicit vote purchase with respect of the National Assembly election due on June 6.
The ministry in a statement on Friday SAID the criminal investigation set up a WhatsApp number to deal seriously and secretly with any person, mediator or publisher involved in the vote purchase or who may seek persuasion for voting for a candidate in exchange for money or any kind of gifts.
It warned that the wrongdoer may face a penalty of up to five years behind iron bars and a fine reaching KD 5,000 (approx. USD 16,000).
