The National Intelligence Service announced the arrest of the terrorist (Akab Hamad Nijris Dali), known as (Abu Jamal), the emir of the Sharqat sector, Hatra Island and Makhmour mountains in Salah Al-Din Governorate.
A statement by the Service stated that, based on accurate intelligence information and field follow-up and tracking in more than one country, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service was able to arrest the terrorist (Akab Hamad Nijris Dali), known as (Abu Jamal), the Emir of the Sharqat sector, Hatra Island and Makhmour mountains in Salah al-Din governorate, who held the position of (general Sharia judge in the state of the Tigris), and he issued many fatwas inciting the targeting of the security forces and those collaborating with them.
He added that the terrorist fled to Syrian territory in the year 2017 and moved around the areas under the control of ISIS there, and in the year 2023 he sneaked back into Iraqi territory under the guidance of the leadership of the terrorist organization, and he was arrested in cooperation with the Anti-Terrorism Service in Sulaymaniyah Governorate based on a judicial order.
