Information Minister Underscores Significance of Kuwait TV Archive

Kuwait City: Minister of Information, Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi emphasized the importance of the Kuwaiti Television archive in the ongoing process of revamping Kuwait's media infrastructure. During the inauguration of the second phase of the television archive project, he highlighted that significant progress had been made in the preliminary phase, focusing on documenting and preserving national heritage.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister expressed hope that the second stage would bring a significant improvement in the preservation of content, as well as facilitate research and digital retrieval of items and data. The project aims to safeguard Kuwait's history for future generations by digitizing at least 220,000 hours of archival materials, alongside classification and indexing.

The initiative is also part of the ministry's broader strategy to achieve complete digital transformation and utilize modern technological means for managing media assets.
