Kuwait city: Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi affirmed on Tuesday that the sports family in Kuwait is honored and proud of the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for the final match of the Amir Cup, and of the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on behalf of His Highness.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during a press briefing, Al-Mutairi, who also serves as the minister of state for youth affairs, emphasized that this patronage embodies the political leadership's interest and continued support for Kuwaiti athletes in numerous major sporting accomplishments. He remarked that this support acts as a significant incentive for athletes, motivating them to keep working towards excellence and elevating Kuwait's presence in various sporting events. This backing is seen as pivotal in enhancing the Kuwaiti sports journey and its development.
Al-Mutairi extended his deepest gratitude to the wise political leadership for their unwavering support of sports and youth development, empowering young people to be active contributors in building Kuwait's present and future. He also congratulated Kuwait SC on securing the Amir Cup title and acknowledged Al-Arabi SC for achieving second place. He noted the commendable organization by the Kuwait Football Association for the final match and the substantial public attendance that played a key role in the event's success.
