Info Minister Expresses Pride as Kuwait Set to Host Inaugural Emirates Falcons International Cup

Kuwait city: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi expressed pride and happiness over Kuwait's selection to host the first edition of the Emirates Falcons International Cup next December. In a press statement following his chairing of the first meeting of the tournament organizing committee, Minister Al-Mutairi highlighted that this event signifies the strong bonds of brotherhood between Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of the political leadership of both nations.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that hosting this prestigious tournament is a source of pride and an authentic reflection of the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Kuwait and the UAE. He lauded the efforts of the UAE in preserving the heritage of falconry, particularly acknowledging the significant contributions of the UAE Falcons Federation and its President Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum in promoting falconry as an Arab sport and cultural heritage.

The tournament, which is supported by the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing (IFFSR), promises substantial prizes, with the total prize pool for the first edition in Kuwait estimated to be around AED 500,000 (approx. KD 40,000).
