Indian PM Modi Commences Two-Day Saudi Visit to Bolster Bilateral Relations

Riyadh: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a two-day state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to strengthen bilateral ties.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in a departure statement, Modi emphasized the importance of India's historic ties with Saudi Arabia, which have gained strategic depth and momentum in recent years. He highlighted the mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations, encompassing areas such as defense, trade, investment, energy, and people-to-people connections.

Modi noted that both countries share a commitment to promoting regional peace, prosperity, security, and stability. Ahead of his third visit to Saudi Arabia in the past decade, Modi expressed enthusiasm for participating in the second meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council, aiming to build upon the state visit of Prince Mohammed bin Salman to India in 2023.

During his visit, Modi is also scheduled to engage with the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, which he described as a living bridge between the nations, contributing significantly to strengthening cultural and human ties.
