Indian Embassy in Kuwait Launches E-Visa Service for Kuwaiti Nationals

Kuwait city: The Embassy of India in Kuwait officially launched the e-visa service for Kuwaiti nationals on Sunday, marking a significant advancement in facilitating travel and enhancing bilateral relations between India and Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, announced during a press conference that the new e-visa service is entirely online and accessible through the embassy's website at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in. This development eliminates the need for physical visits to the embassy and includes five categories of visas, such as tourism, business, and medical (ayush-yoga), among others.

Dr. Swaika highlighted that the new tourist visa is valid for five years, while the business visa is valid for up to one year, and the medical visa for up to 60 days. The service fee ranges from USD 40 to USD 80, depending on the visa duration. All necessary documents are listed on the application website, and processing typically takes three to four days.

The ambassador reassured that the Indian consulate in Kuwait will continue to accept paper visa applications as before. He also noted that biometric fingerprints will be collected at various airports in India from arriving Kuwaiti travelers.
