India PM’s Envoy Highlights Historical Ties with Kuwait


Kuwait City: The Indian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy, Baijayant Panda, emphasized the longstanding historical relations between India and Kuwait, encompassing trade, economic, and cultural areas, during a news conference organized by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. This conference was part of the Indian parliamentary and diplomatic delegation’s visit to Kuwait, which is one of four countries included in their regional tour.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Indian envoy highlighted Kuwait’s significant role in promoting peace and dialogue both regionally and globally, as part of its initiatives to combat violence and address both regional and international challenges.

Discussing the Indian community in Kuwait, Panda noted that they represent the largest expatriate group in the country, enjoying the trust of Kuwaiti society. He pointed out their positive contributions to various sectors, which support the national economy.

The Indian delegation’s visit included a meeting on Monday with Kuwait’s Deputy P
rime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Shereeda Al-Mousherji. During this meeting, both parties discussed ways to further strengthen the distinguished relations between Kuwait and India across multiple fields.
