New Delhi: India and the UK held consultations on disarmament and non-proliferation in New Delhi. A statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the discussions took place on Tuesday. According to Kuwait News Agency, the consultations covered a range of topics including developments in disarmament and non-proliferation concerning nuclear, chemical, and biological domains. The two sides also addressed regional non-proliferation issues, outer space security-related matters, and considerations related to conventional weapons, including the use of artificial intelligence in the military domain. Additionally, the consultations involved discussions on multilateral export control regimes. The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs) at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Muanpuii Saiawi. The UK delegation was headed by Stephen Lillie, Director for Defence and International Security at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Offi ce.
