India and New Zealand Progress on Free Trade Agreement Negotiations

Auckland: India and New Zealand commenced on Monday the fourth round of negotiations for the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement in Auckland, New Zealand. The discussions mark a significant step in advancing a partnership aimed at mutual benefit and comprehensive collaboration between the two countries.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated that this round of negotiations focuses on essential areas such as trade in goods, trade in services, and rules of origin. Both nations are working constructively to build on the progress achieved in earlier rounds, aiming to resolve outstanding issues and move towards the early conclusion of the FTA.

India and New Zealand reiterated their commitment to developing a forward-looking and inclusive trade framework. This framework is intended to support sustainable growth and shared prosperity for both economies, highlighting the dedication to a mutually beneficial relationship.
