Helsinki: India and Finland have committed to deepening their collaboration across a wide range of sectors, as revealed during the 13th round of Foreign Office Consultations held in the Finnish capital. According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions, which were led by Indian Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs Sibi George and Finland's Permanent State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Jukka Salovaara, provided a platform for the two nations to review their bilateral relations comprehensively. The consultations focused on enhancing cooperation in critical fields such as trade and investment, digitalization, quantum computing, 5G/6G technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, clean technologies, and economic development. Moreover, the dialogue encompassed cooperation in education, research and development, as well as fostering stronger people-to-people ties and mobility. The Finnish representatives also expressed their support for the swift conclusion of the India-EU Fr ee Trade Agreement (FTA), underscoring the importance of the agreement in bolstering economic relations. In addition to bilateral issues, both sides exchanged views on regional and global topics of mutual interest, signaling a shared commitment to addressing international challenges collaboratively.
