Sharm el-sheikh: The 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) Conference began in Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, with a delegation from Kuwait's State Audit Bureau (SAB) in attendance. Osama Al-Fares, who leads the Kuwaiti delegation and serves as SAB Director-General for Prior Control and Technical Support, noted that the conference, running from October 27 to 31, is set to address topics such as counterterrorism, anti-money laundering, and the integration of artificial intelligence in general auditing processes.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the event will host two panel sessions focusing on the cooperation of INCOSAI donors and will present reports on emerging issues from various political, financial, and administrative committees, as well as regional organizations. The conference will also include the election of new executive board members and auditors for INCOSAI. Furthermore, it was announced that the 26th and 27th INCOSAI conferences will take place in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, respectively.
The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) serves as an intergovernmental organization comprising supreme audit institutions. Its primary objective is to facilitate the exchange of expertise and foster cooperation among global audit institutions while promoting independence, enhancing the efficiency of audit agencies, and improving control and audit performance.
