IFRC Praises Kuwait’s Role in Crisis Management and Aid Efforts

Kuwait city: Deputy Regional Director of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Christian Cortez, praised the Kuwait Red Crescent Society's (KRCS) efforts in crisis management and aid delivery to the Gaza Strip and other regions affected by conflicts and natural disasters. This commendation was made during Cortez's visit to the KRCS headquarters, where he met with Chairman Ambassador Khaled Al-Maghames.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Cortez emphasized the significance of strengthening collaboration between IFRC and KRCS in humanitarian and relief initiatives. The discussions focused on recent developments in humanitarian efforts across the region, as well as the training of volunteers and employees within the organization.

Ambassador Al-Maghames reiterated KRCS's commitment to enhancing cooperation with IFRC to improve the effectiveness of urgent humanitarian responses. He highlighted the society's dedication to addressing the needs of the most vulnerable populations globally through strategic partnerships with the international community and its organizations.

Al-Maghames also noted Kuwait's ongoing efforts to solidify its role in global humanitarian work and to provide assistance to affected communities worldwide, underscoring the value of joint action in tackling humanitarian challenges and crises.
