Gaza: Malnutrition and famine claimed lives of eight Palestinians including two children in Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, the local health authorities declared. With the latest hunger victims, the toll of the fatalities related to starvation and poor feeding climbed to 281 deaths including 114 children, the authorities said in a statement.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Gazans have been struggling to survive amid poor nutrition resources and continuous Israeli aggression with various guns. Escalated attacks in the strip's eastern and northern sectors have prompted many residents to seek refuge in locations deemed safer. The civilians' movement in the shell-hammered region, now largely a maze of rubble, has aggravated the humanitarian crisis, freshly labelled by the UN as confirmed famine.
Some two million Palestinians live in the strip, target of recurring occupation offensives since early October. The attacks have killed at least 60,000 Gazans, many of them civilians, children, and elderly. The occupation authorities have declared a fresh plan to attack Gaza City from various axes to crush the Palestinian armed resistance and release more than 20 Israeli prisoners. The plan has drawn widespread criticisms from various corners of the globe, fearing for civilians' safety.
