His Highness the Amir Visits Kuwait Sport Club for Deaf, Reaffirms Support

Kuwait City: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, alongside His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, visited the Kuwait Sport Club for Deaf (KSCD) on Monday evening. The visit was attended by senior state officials and was marked by a warm reception from Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah Al-Salem, and KSCD Board Chairman Anwar Manif Al-Harbi.

According to Kuwait News Agency, His Highness the Amir addressed the audience, expressing his pleasure and extending congratulations on the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized his prayers for repeated blessings during the holy month for the homeland and the Arab and Muslim nation. His Highness commended KSCD leaders for their commitment to supporting individuals with strong will and endurance, and reaffirmed the state's commitment to the club.

His Highness acknowledged the achievements of KSCD members in regional sports, highlighting the success of a bowling player who reached the quarterfinal at the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Malaysia last December. He also expressed support for the club's efforts to host an international shooting championship and a regional Arabian Gulf chess championship.

Instructing state authorities, His Highness emphasized the need for enhanced care for the deaf community in areas such as health, education, sports, training, and social services, including the introduction of advanced technology like smart glasses. He conveyed his wishes for KSCD members to succeed in international sports events, aiming to elevate Kuwait's national flag on the global stage.

KSCD Chairman Anwar Al-Harbi expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir's visit and support for the club. The visit concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to His Highness as a token of appreciation, followed by his signing of the club's register of honor.
