London: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Scotland, responding to a personal invitation from King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The visit marks a significant moment in the diplomatic relations between Kuwait and the UK, highlighting the ongoing collaboration and friendship between the two nations.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti Cabinet held its regular weekly meeting at the conventions hall at the Amiri Airport. The meeting was chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, signifying the government’s commitment to maintaining regular administrative functions and discussions on national matters.
In Cairo, Kuwait’s Ambassador Ghanem Al-Ghanem praised the Arab Parliament for its role in advocating for Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian issue. His remarks underscore Kuwait’s active involvement in regional diplomacy and its support for collective Arab interests.
Additionally, KUNA Deputy Director General for Administrative, Financial, and Communications’ Affairs Mohammad Al-Mannai met with the Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East News Agency (MENA), Ahmad Kamal, to explore ways to enhance media cooperation and exchange expertise. This meeting reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen media ties and foster collaboration in information dissemination.
Meanwhile, the 29th edition of the International Handball Federation (IHF) 2025 Men’s World Championship commenced with Austria defeating Kuwait 37-26. The tournament, co-hosted by Croatia, Denmark, and Norway, features 32 participating countries, showcasing international sportsmanship and competition.
