Higher Education Ministry Unveils New Applied Studies Facility

Kuwait city: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jallal inaugurated the Applied Studies Building at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Jallal highlighted that this development is part of the ongoing initiative to enhance the infrastructure of higher education and training in Kuwait. The new building aims to increase the capacity of the Authority in applied disciplines by providing additional classrooms that meet the latest academic standards, thereby allowing for a greater intake of students in critical fields.

The Minister emphasized the importance of this expansion for health and technological sectors, such as nursing, which is a priority given the current shortage of healthcare professionals in the country. This development supports the Ministry of Health and strengthens the national medical field.

Al-Jallal also praised the leadership and staff at PAAET for their efforts in completing the project, underscoring the necessity for ongoing institutional integration and quality improvement to position applied education as a key component of the national economy.

PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam stated that the new building covers 4,480 square meters, with a total construction area of 28,789 square meters, and has the capacity to accommodate 2,000 students and provide 96 faculty offices. He mentioned that the facility is designed to meet labor market demands and contribute to sustainable development goals.
