Hezbollah Leader Accuses U.S. Of Fueling Israeli Aggression In Lebanon

Beirut: Hezbollah leader, Naim Qassem, yesterday accused the United States of fueling Israeli aggression in Lebanon, stating that Washington presents itself as a mediator while working to undermine the country's sovereignty.

According to Nam News Network, Qassem remarked that America has given Lebanon nothing and justifies violations, speaking at an event in Beirut's southern suburbs. He accused the United States of exerting political pressure on Lebanon to further its own interests.

Qassem reaffirmed Hezbollah's commitment to resisting Israel and defending Lebanon's sovereignty. He emphasized that every piece of land in Lebanon is collectively owned, saying, "No land belongs to one sect over another… this land belongs to all of us."

Hezbollah's armed status continues to be a contentious political issue in Lebanon. Senior figures within the organization, including Qassem, have consistently dismissed calls for disarmament, arguing that such moves are unrealistic and pose a threat to national security.
