Hammam Hammoudi to the Australian Ambassador: Iraq today is in the most stable and confident era

The head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Hammam Hamoudi, affirmed that Iraq has succeeded in imposing its will and overcoming many of its crises, and today it is living in the most stable, powerful and accomplished era.

Hammoudi said, during his meeting today, Sunday, with Paula Ganly, the Australian ambassador in Baghdad, that “the government enjoys the support of all national forces, and it has succeeded in gaining the confidence of the citizen through ambitious service and development projects that can be seen in all Iraqi cities.”

He pointed to the importance of local elections in changing those who have indicators of corruption or failure with sincere competencies, in a way that enhances government achievement in the provinces, noting Iraq’s keenness on its national unity and building external relations on the basis of common interests and mutual respect.

While Paula Ganly showed her country’s keenness to cooperate and invest in the health, transportation and education sectors, Hammoudi pointed out the possibility of benefiting from Australians of Iraqi origin to represent Australian companies in Iraq./ End
