Hail Governor Reviews Preparations for International Potato Conference

Hail: Hail Region Governor Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz reviewed the latest preparations for the second International Potato Conference in Hail, including its specialized scientific programs and themes aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing the region's status as a leading agricultural hub. According to Saudi Press Agency, the review took place during a meeting in his office with Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in the region Director-General Dr. Fahd Al-Hasan, National Center for Industrial Development Executive Vice President for the Food Sector Eng. Khaled Al-Shehri, and members of the conference organizing team, in the presence of Hail Region Undersecretary Ali Al-Amer. Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the support and attention given to the agricultural sector by the Kingdom's leadership, emphasizing the importance of specialized conferences in developing agricultural production, improving supply chain efficiency, and promoting sustainable agriculture in li ne with national development goals. He noted the agricultural significance of Hail Region, which contributes over 30% of the Kingdom's potato production, underscoring its pivotal role in securing the nation's food basket.
