Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Cabinet Secretary-General Saleh Al-Mulla affirmed on Sunday that the ministerial committee tasked with following up on the implementation of joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) decisions serves as a key executive tool to translate the leaders' strategic visions into concrete outcomes that directly impact citizens of GCC states. Al-Mullah made the statement during the 26th meeting of the committee, in the presence of GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Mullah highlighted the series of important decisions adopted by GCC leaders in previous summits, adding that they include advancing economic and financial integration, supporting the customs union and common market, enhancing trade ties, protecting the environment, developing energy and transport infrastructure, and empowering Gulf youth through education and innovation. He stressed the importance of accelerating ratification and implementation processes to achieve the leaders' ambitions and reinforce the GCC's role as a unified and influential regional bloc amid rapid global developments.
Al-Budaiwi praised the committee's pivotal role in driving deeper Gulf integration and following up on joint decisions, emphasizing the importance of unified positions to face regional and global challenges. He expressed confidence that the meeting's outcomes would further strengthen GCC cooperation and integration efforts.
