Muscat: The 18th Annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Forum is set to commence tomorrow in Muscat, Oman. A Kuwaiti delegation, led by the Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah, will participate in the four-day event. According to Kuwait News Agency, the forum will focus on pivotal themes such as sustainability, the future of energy, and regional contributions to global objectives in these areas. The event will gather energy ministers and prominent industry executives from both regional and global spheres. The opening day will feature speeches from energy ministers and GPCA officials, alongside the announcement of the next host country for the forum. An important highlight will be the presentation of the GPCA leaders' award, which will honor a distinguished contributor to the energy sector in the host country. In-depth panel discussions will be held, addressing challenges and opportunities within the chemical industry. These discussions wi ll cover Gulf nations' visions for growth, efficiency, and sustainability, along with food security challenges and the role of agricultural nutrients as a sustainable solution. Additional sessions will delve into energy transitions and security, the influence of geopolitics on the industry, and innovation as a key factor for enhancing resilience and efficiency in the chemical sector. The event will also include various side activities, such as a startup corner showcasing innovative solutions for the circular economy and climate action. This will provide networking opportunities with experts and global companies. Moreover, the forum will feature the return of the "Solution Xchange" program for its second edition.
