Gov’t absence, lack of quorum cancel Kuwait parliament session

National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim announced the cancelation of the parliament’s special session on Sunday, due to the absence of the government and lack of quorum.

In a speech prior to cancelling the session, Al-Ghanim noted that the government informed him they were not attending today.

The Speaker had previously called on attending Sunday’s session to discuss three interpellation motions directed at the Health Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment.
