Kuwait City: Germany welcomed on Tuesday the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump between Iran and the Israeli occupation, calling on both parties to abide by the agreement.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated in a statement on X that if the ceasefire was a success, it would be a "positive" development. He emphasized the significance of this development as a potential path to peace not only in the Middle East but possibly for the entire world.
Chancellor Merz also pointed out that the latest developments in the Middle East, along with other significant issues, would be discussed during the upcoming NATO meeting in The Hague, Netherlands. This highlights the international community's interest in ensuring stability in the region.
