Germany, Gulf Arab states end talks on security challenges

Germany and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states concluded talks on Tuesday over common security challenges, chiefly, the repercussions of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

As among the participants in the talks, Kuwait praised the outcome of the gathering as a step towards greater bilateral security cooperation and an opportunity to focus on “joint interests.” The Kuwaiti delegation, comprised of former Interior Minister Sheikh Thamer Al-Sabah and the country’s ambassador to Berlin Najib Al-Bader, said the talks covered a wide array of security issues over the course of two days.
