German Ambassador Commends Kuwait’s Efforts in Regional and International Peace

Kuwait city: The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kuwait, Hans-Christian von Reibnitz, praised the close relations between Germany and Kuwait, highlighting Kuwait's efforts in promoting regional and international peace and stability. Ambassador Hans-Christian made these remarks during a reception organized by the German Embassy to commemorate Germany's National Day.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the celebration was attended by prominent figures, including Kuwait's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah, and various heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in the country. Ambassador Hans-Christian emphasized that the relations between Germany and Kuwait are grounded in mutual respect.

The ambassador pointed to the strategic dialogue framework established between the two nations last year and mentioned the exchange of high-level visits by officials from both countries. He expressed optimism that the collaboration between Germany and Kuwait will continue to grow and cover more areas of mutual interest. Ambassador Hans-Christian extended his gratitude to all officials who have played a role in strengthening these ties.

Speaking on the occasion of the embassy's celebration, the ambassador remarked that the event coincides with the historical peaceful demonstrations in East German cities on November 9, 1989. These demonstrations ultimately led to the fall of the Berlin Wall, marking the end of Germany's division after 40 years. He noted that this period symbolized peace achieved through peaceful change and the collective will of the people for freedom and unity.
