Muscat: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi welcomed Oman's hosting of talks between Iran and the United States.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi emphasized that Oman's initiative is part of its strategic approach to fostering dialogue and building bridges among nations, while consistently supporting and enhancing security and stability in the region.
Al-Budaiwi highlighted that GCC member states are committed to seeking peaceful resolutions to disputes through their strong relationships with friendly countries. These efforts aim to provide initiatives that benefit the interests of both regional and global communities.
He expressed hope that these talks would yield positive outcomes, potentially paving the way for enhanced US-Iran cooperation that would bolster security and stability in the region.
