New york: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi announced that the recent Gulf ministerial meeting focused on collaborative efforts to address the Palestinian issue and support the international conference currently being held at the United Nations headquarters for implementing the two-state solution.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the GCC General Secretariat confirmed this after Al-Budaiwi participated in a meeting on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York.
Al-Budaiwi mentioned that the meeting covered several topics, particularly the developments in Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, as well as coordination on issues raised at the conference. The meeting also focused on humanitarian developments, especially the recent conditions resulting in a severe shortage of aid due to the Israeli occupation's policies against the Gaza Strip, which are against international and UN treaties.
The occupation's violations have led to famine spread due to a significant shortage of supplies. Ministers at the meeting called for continued pressure on the Israeli occupation to open all crossings, aiming to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
