Kuwait City: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi announced in a statement Sunday that the GCC Ministerial Council is set to hold its extraordinary 48th meeting tomorrow, June 16, 2025, through a video conference format. The meeting will be led by Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Al-Yahya, with participation from the Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council member states.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the latest regional and international developments impacting the region. A significant topic of focus will be the recent Israeli military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting aims to address the implications of these developments for the GCC member states and to formulate a coordinated response.
