GCC News Agency Heads’ Panel Convenes Virtually

Manama: The Committee of Heads of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) News Agencies held its 25th meeting via videoconference on Thursday, organized by the GCC General Secretariat, in cooperation with Bahrain News Agency (BNA). The meeting was presided over by BNA Director-General Abdulla Buhejji, with the participation of Acting Director-General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Mohammad Al-Mannai and other representatives from GCC countries.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the conferees highlighted the importance of continuing to conduct training courses for 2027 within the GCC news agencies. They also emphasized participation in the photo exhibition organized alongside GCC courses in the host country of the summit to showcase GCC achievements.

The participants underscored the necessity of maintaining the exchange of visits among editors, photographers, and technicians in GCC news agencies. This initiative aims to facilitate the sharing of experience and understanding of professional and technical advancements.

Additionally, the attendees reviewed the latest developments in the application of news agencies in GCC countries. This initiative was prepared and developed by the Qatar News Agency (QNA) in collaboration with member states' news agencies and the General Secretariat.
