GCC Ministerial Council Convenes Extraordinary Meeting in Doha

Doha: GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi announced on Tuesday that the 49th Extraordinary Meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council would be held Tuesday in Doha, Qatar, headed by current Council President Kuwait Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya. The council gathered to address pressing regional issues.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the GCC Ministerial Council is set to discuss the latest developments concerning the Iranian missile attack that targeted Qatar. The incident has raised concerns about regional security and prompted a swift response from the GCC member states.

Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the meeting underscored the GCC states' solidarity with Qatar. He reiterated that the security and stability of Qatar are seen as integral to the security and stability of the GCC states.
